Neulife Announces Hal S. Pineless, D.O. As Medical Director At Florida’s New Post-Acute Neurorehab Facility

MOUNT DORA, Fla. (5/6/2014)— NeuLife, a post-acute neurorehab facility, is proud to announce that Hal S. Pineless, D.O., F.A.C.N., has joined its clinical team as medical director.
In joining the NeuLife team, Dr. Pineless states, “I endorse specialized rehabilitation for individuals with TBI (traumatic brain injury) and multiple trauma, particularly in the post-acute setting. Dr. Pineless is on staff at Orlando Health South Seminole Hospital. He is a former Chief of Staff of Florida Hospital East Orlando, and past member of the Florida Hospital Board of Trustees. He has been named Physician of the Year at Florida Hospital East Orlando on several occasions. In 2007, Dr. Pineless was elected by his peers as a Fellow of the American College of Neuropsychologists.
Dr. Pineless is certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Neurology and Psychiatry, the American Society of Neurorehabilitation and is an active member of professional medical societies, including the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Neurology, American College of Neuropsychiatrists, and Seminole County Medical Society. He served as president of the Florida Osteopathic Medical Association (FOMA), 2012–2013. He serves as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine (Neurology) at the Florida State University College of Medicine.
Kester Nedd, D.O., board certified neurologist and medical director of the Neuro Rehab Program at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Miami, FL, states, “There is an unmet need in the field of specialized residential post-acute programs for individuals who have sustained catastrophic injuries including TBI (traumatic brain injury), SCI (spinal cord injury), amputations and multiple trauma. Dr. Pineless received his Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1981. He completed his neurology residency at the VA Hines Hospital, Hines, IL, and at Loyola University Medical Center, Maywood, IL, from 1982 to 1985. He served on the faculty of the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine as an assistant professor of medicine in neurology from 1985 to 1986, and is listed in “Who’s Who in Medicine and Healthcare,” and “Who’s Who in America.” Dr. Pineless has been in practice in the Orlando area since 1986. He was named as one of the best doctors in Orlando by “Orlando Magazine” in 2013.
Donna Check, executive director of NeuLife, has known Dr. Pineless for more than 20 years. She has worked with him on numerous cases during that time and applauds his vast knowledge of and attention to the care rendered to his patients, as well as cost containment and claims resolution on workers’ compensation claims.
