When an individual has progressed through acute and outpatient rehabilitation, yet is experiencing repeated falls and the consistent inability to appropriately don his or her prosthesis, has additional difficulty when moving from a sit-to-stand position, has problems ambulating with or without a walker or cane, experiences difficulty completing basic bathroom functions, has hygiene issues and problems showering and dressing, NeuLife can help. And when this person is experiencing accompanying frustration, sadness and situational depression—not uncommon—it is vital to his or her overall wellness to seek the resources of NeuLife: a fully accessible residential post-acute program providing superior care and offering individualized rehabilitation to individuals diagnosed with traumatic brain injury (TBI), spinal cord injury (SCI), traumatic amputations and other catastrophic injuries.
NeuLife conducts a comprehensive evaluation following admission to determine the specific need for care, specialized therapy, nursing services, wellness care—including diet and nutrition—activities of daily living (ADLs) training and support, neuropsychological assessment, psychological and adjustment counseling, medical services and more. NeuLife provides a positively reinforcing environment of encouragement, training and support where our clients feel comfortable and are not embarrassed or disappointed by normal setbacks that can occur with their specific type of injury.
Individuals finding it difficult to progress or live independently have multiple options with regard to care, living accommodations, community access and integration, residential services, specialized rehabilitative programs and related services. NeuLife offers both short-term and long-term individualized options. There are numerous challenges for the injured individual. Family and close friends are affected. They’ve seen their relative or friend go through a difficult and trying experience and have often felt helpless. They have exhausted ideas and the ability to motivate the individual. It is a welcome relief when appropriate and aggressive care is available!

NeuLife is an innovative, fully accessible licensed 40-bed residential post-acute program situated on 43 acres near downtown Mount Dora, Florida, where individuals with catastrophic injuries can enjoy recreational outings and become productive members of the community. NeuLife’s multidisciplinary team tailors plans to meet the specific needs and goals of each client served. NeuLife serves adults ages 18 and over. Individuals referred to NeuLife may stay for any established period of time, whether for short-term, long-term or respite care.
All services outlined for each individual are included in an all-inclusive comprehensive per diem.
