Family Inclusion and Participation

Family members provide valuable information to NeuLife from our very first discussion with them during the referral process.  In turn, we want families to be as educated as possible as to NeuLife’s principles and services.  Every step of the way, we know families can share with us what may help in a specific situation or provide some additional history, and we want their involvement on our team.

NeuLife has a number of firsts in the industry, one being our fully appointed and spacious Family Gathering Rooms.  These rooms were designed so clients receiving services at NeuLife could spend some private time with family in a nice, homey, open-style family room outfitted with comfortable living room furniture, a dining table and chairs, a flat screen television set-up with Wii, and a fully accessible private bathroom and roll-in shower for ADL training as and if needed on family visits.  On a case-by-case basis, a member of NeuLife’s multidisciplinary team may provide training, support, assistance, or supervision for the client during the family visit.

Of importance to family members, NeuLife offers the following:

  • Each client at NeuLife has a private room or a private suite or a private apartment, each with a large locking closet and a large private bathroom
  • The facility is video-monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year
  • Nurse on-site 24/7/365
  • Full time licensed professional staff including but not limited to registered nurses, licensed practical nurses, board certified behavior analyst, speech language pathologist, occupational therapist, physical therapist

Philosophy & Mission

It is the mission of NeuLife as an organization to provide a comprehensive program of neurologic rehabilitation to support and promote the improvement of the quality of life for our patients.

As with all NeuLife provisions and specialized services, clients and designated family members and/or legal guardians participate in the referral, assessment and admission process. All services provided and those offered to our clients are arranged and coordinated by our care coordinators and are all-inclusive in a comprehensive per diem specific to each client.
