Robert J. Bunker, MBA
President and Chief Executive Officer
Bob is a dynamic leader with over 40 years’ experience leading healthcare organizations. He started his career in the United States Air Force Medical Service Corps where he worked in and ultimately ran hospitals and later served on the Pentagon staff. As a highly decorated Lieutenant Colonel, he retired from the military having spent over 20 years on active duty serving our country.
Upon leaving the Air Force, Bob went to work for Humana Inc., where he ran the company’s nationwide Medicare and Medicaid programs. While at Humana, he was also the co-founder of Humana Military Healthcare Services Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Humana Inc., and was successful in leading Humana’s award of a multi-billion-dollar Department of Defense (DoD) TRICARE contract serving the Southeast.
Following his work at Humana, Bob went on to be the Chairman and CEO of five highly successful healthcare companies, owned by private investors, which were subsequently individually acquired by United Healthcare Corporation and other industry investors. Bob was recently selected to be the President & CEO of Neulife Neurological Rehabilitation Services LLC., due to his interest and its investor’s desire to grow the company on a national level. He also serves as the Chairman of the Board for three public sector healthcare services and technology companies.
Bob is a graduate of Pepperdine University where he earned his Masters Degree in Human Resource Management and Business Administration. Additionally, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration at Golden Gate University and he is also a graduate of several executive leadership programs while serving on active duty and thereafter in the private sector.
